~$1400, sir

Thanks everyone for the answers, but don't I pay taxes from buying online too? I live in Montreal (QC, Canada). And do I get a good warranty from buying online too?
Because, when buying in store, I can also get an extended warranty for free (depends where I buy it).

And, if I do buy online, I should buy from a canadian website shouldn't I? Because if I don't, then it will cost more with the custom fees?

Thanks again for the input!  :hail:

same warranty. the extended warranty they offer in-store is like 30 days. which is common with online.
here's a neat laptop you can get for the price : http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX43300 ( 17.3") just make sure you buy before the end of the month , because @ regular price it's not worth it.

5% federal  and 9.5% on (total + federal taxes) so its more like 15% from subtotal

bump 2-3 days before you buy.

if i were you , i'd buy something online & pay for 2 days shipping instead of paying retarded taxes.

ultrabooks are neat , but they're made small.

I am planning to buy my laptop in the next 2-5 days, so I'll bump this :)

laptop i linked
when you upgrade ram to 12gb + add in windows 8
is 1390, minus 50$
making it 1340$

Pretty much the same price as the asus
But the sager has the ability to easily be clean/dusted on the inside, and allows for easy upgrade
if OP ever decides to in the future
and, imo, the screen on the sager is alot nice than that Asus

Shipping is free on xoticpc, not sure about ur link tho

I mentioned my budget being ~ $1400, this being I would not mind if the laptop cost less and was still as effective for what I want to do with :)
Saving some money is always better haha
