hello my most favorite subforum on this site! I think it's time I finally upgrade my pc again, its been about 5 years since my last build

Budget: $1,500
More specific use (what games, what programs): WoW, Diablo, (the new LoL mmo? I think that comes out soon), basically a build to last me another 5-6 years
Planned time until purchase: 1-4 weeks depending on upcoming releases of gpus and/or cpus
Do you need an Operating System?: yes (could i just plug in my existing ssd harddrive? or is it worth replacing too?)
Do you have any specific preferred components?: no
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: possibly, if we can work it in the budget, otherwise doesn't matter
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: stock
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: no
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): shipping cost aren't included in this budget

also little side note, I don't really like RGB lights so standard high cooling cases are probably my most preferred

for the build i like the most, or which seems to be the most popular ill get some fg and donut to you :)

You could remove a set of Ram to go from 32gb x 4 lanes and go to 16gb x 2 lanes ~ but the more ram helps future proof.

This build has almost no RGB, you can turn it on/off for the GPU.

Black/Gray components.

Black Friday approaches.

That's up to you. Almost certainly you will get a better deal, by how much I'm not sure. If you're not in a rush were only 2-3 weeks out.

This setup gets you premium 1080p high refresh rates and 1440p entry mid-high refresh rates.

im just going to bump this in a few weeks and see what kinda builds we can arrive at for thanksgiving, my current cpu is 7 years old and is literally giving me no problems, but id rather just upgrade before something goes bad

I think PC Partpicker is probably a better site to go hunting for builds.

I went on there for the first time in forever since GPU prices are finally coming down.

yeah i'd be more keen to wait for the new 7700x vs. a new cpu tbh, new cpus are gonna be DDR5 and cost an arm and a leg but am4 may still be on sale, and would also last like 5-7 years IMO
