Hello,

Topic states which type of keyboard I am using. I've had the keyboard around 3 years now. Never any issues up until now.

When playing fps games, when the character is sprinting (Apex Legends) the sprint suddenly comes to a halt automatically,- and I don't understand why.

I've read up on the issue via google and everything says that it's the keyboard who's at fault, most likely the switches below the keypad buttons. I've swapped to my old Razer Ornata Chroma and the issue is gone.

However,- What baffles me is: When I don't play any games and just use the keyboard for typing the W (moving forward ingame) works without any issues. I've tried holding the button in very very lightly just to test and see if it stops, but it doesn't.

I've added autosprint in the game but the stoppage still continues.

Anyone has any idea as to why this happens? Feels like there should be a stoppage in W when holding down the button in a notepad too if that should be the issue.

Any help is most welcome.

The switch could be malfunctioning on your W key enough that Apex is picking it up as a macro/script which stops you from sprinting

Thanks,

I looked for further solutions but it seems I need to replace the switch if I want it to get better. And the switches on this keyboard is welded shut and there ends my expertise on handling the issue. So I'll try a last resort of re-installing Apex before buying a new keyboard I suppose.
