It's hard to have a rational discussion on the topic, but in the end of the day it's about balancing which laptop (regardless of brand) will suit your needs the best. For me high performance, cool temps and no air intakes on the underside (so I can game on my lap) were my only real concerns, so I bought an Asus G-Series. Do I think that's the laptop for everyone? God no - it's nearly 4KGs and is huge - but when I'm gaming or working on AutoCAD and photoshop/video editing I don't care about ANYTHING other than those 3 aspects. Oh and a 1080p screen (no lower OR higher) was also a must - because I like to be able to view content I make in the res they were designed for.
