You know you keep saying this yet this has never been my experience over nearly a decade of using Macs almost exclusively.
It's simply my experience with every mac I've ever used (even their all in ones from 2005ish). Friends and family insist on buying macs, all of them have what I would call serious heat issues - I have an infrared temp monitor (or w/e those point the lazer to get the temp things are) and all have heat issues worse than even my notorious HP pavilion laptop.
I've seen macs discolour and crack their own shells from the heat they produce. While the problem isn't nearly as bad as it use to be, even the newest lineup has horribly inadiquet cooling for the components.
What's also important to note is that even if the heat doesn't bother you, it will cause your GPU and CPU to throttle back to avoid thermal shutdown. You won't know this is happening, except that your performance drops drastically. If you look ad MBP FPS benchmarks they bench well for 20-40 minuts, then the heat causes throttling and performance drops to around half.
I don't actually dislike Macs, but they have their issues and you need to know if they issues are going to be a problem for YOU and the way YOU use your laptop before buying one. Just like any other slim-line laptop running dedicated graphics and a core i5. If money wasn't a factor and
The last problem is the retina screen. it looks great and rocks for web browsing, but there is simply NO laptop on the market which can handle gaming at that ridiculous resolution, which means you either play off native res (looks awful, go nuts and try it on your computer if you like) or you will strain your computer to over-heat and throttle.

Everything costs a retarded amount in Australia.
This is true, but apple is by far the worst. iTunes songs are generally $1.99 for Meh songs and $2.40 for Premium songs... I understand in the USA most songs are 99cents - and our dollar is, and has been equal or stronger than the USA since 2008
