Sounds like your motherboard doesn’t support speeds higher than 2000 MTs with 4 sticks installed(atleast the ones you bought)

Did you test what speeds you get if you install only the two new ram sticks? Small possibility that one of them is bad and causing the others to slow down too

hey bro. I finally made it to test your suggestion. When I just install the "New bought RAM's" and try one of the XMP-Profiles:
- XMP 1 5200 --> didnt boot
- XMP 2 4800 --> booted succesfully with 4800

I added those test the table - Number 3) and 4). Interestingly, it showed me 4800 to select as XMP 2, where as if I have all 4x RAM's installed, it shows me 4700 as XMP 2 I can select - see test 6). But it wouldnt boot at 4700 with all 4x RAM's instead it scaled down to like 4000 MT/s in total.

I am thinking about buying a new pair of RAM's but 2x 32 GB instead. But how the hell do I know, if they will be compatible to my motherboard to get full 5200?

turn off xmp and change the freq to 4800. you have mis matched ram only 2 can run at that higher freq of 5200 so just scale it back a bit. or grab the timing from the lower speed chip and set it across all. They also have an that can help you tighten the timings on the ram you do have. You should be able to boot all 4 ram @ 4800 if its scaling lower than that it could just be a limitation on your mobo, get a dual kit 32x2 to mediate that.

Hey mate, thanks for your inputs.

With mismatching you mean the 2x new RAM's wont match with Mobo speccs (clock profiles/standards)?

I am not much of an expert but the new 2x 16 GB RAM's I bought are specced 5200 as well, but idk about the profiles/standards really.

So when I would buy 2x 32 GB, what do I need to look out for to have them running at 5200? I dont want to buy another pair specified with 5200 but in the end I cannot run them at 5200

Thanks alot

Most mobos only have specific rated kits that can hit that specific speed. If you look at ram compatibility for your mobo you’ll see those specific kits. If you are using 4 and it drops to 4000 it may just be the kits you are using.

I would recommend returning the new kit you got tryna flip them to get a 2x kit. Also verify with the Mobo ram compatibility to be sure your kit will work at the speeds you buy it for.

I got support from HP (my build is from HP) and the MOBO only supports JEDEC rated RAM, not XMP. Apparently I have bought 2x new RAM with XMP

Too bad

JEDEC DDR RAM can be run with XMP (Extreme Memory Profile), but it's not recommended.

XMP profiles are designed to unlock the full potential of high-performance RAM, which goes beyond the standard JEDEC speeds and timings.

While JEDEC RAM will still function, it will be limited to the slower, standard speeds and timings.

So try using the newly purchased 32GB RAMs on XMP, it will be much more efficient, I suggest not using JEDEC RAMS.

I am running 5x D2R Clients (put into windows mode for screenshot to show u) with 32GB DDR5 RAM on XMP6200 and GPU is RTX 5070.
Bottom right is Hardware Info (HWINFO) with both CPU and GPU running at comfortable temperatures.

Hope this helps.

see my table on post #31? I did that, but I only managed to get up to 4800, not 5200. But only when I used 2x new RAM (only 2 slots). When using all 4x slots I only manage to get up to 4000

I understand, if BIOS detects different RAM types, it will resort to the slower speed and timings.

XMP profiles on Intel CPUs. EXPO profiles run on AMD CPUs.

JEDEC speeds and timings is not on par with newer DDR RAMs that can run with XMP, in yr case Intel CPU.

I can tell u that by not using the older rams (JEDEC profiles) and just your new XMP rams, you won't have your current issue.

Edit: Do this in your BIOS, with only old rams then new rams:
Your motherboard load defaults, then go to the RAM Settings and ENABLE XMP (No need to select profile)
motherboard should detect the type of ram with Type, Speed and voltage
"example: DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 1.500V"

If able to detect, note the difference for both sets of rams.

And if, still want to use both sets of RAMs, manually set the speed and voltage.

Maybe this youtube video can help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LK2cYh21ww

Thanks bro. I think I would buy new 2x32 GB 5200 with JEDEC-rating instead. I cannot enable XMP on my MOBO/BIOS, I can only select XMP Profiles

Bro, I don't think you understand. JEDEC define the baseline standards for most RAMs, while current DDR5 RAM modules often incorporate features beyond those baseline standards, including faster speeds and tighter timings.
