Perfect example of how retarded d4 is after 13 seasons - all skills of particular class are just useless when compared to BL.

So how did I surpass 95% of bl sorcs with skill that nobody plays?

I have no idea, but my guess is - because it is d4 you stacked more xxx% damage, LOL.

the point I'm making is that 99% of playerbase are following guides of streamers who are incompetent, how come the skill I'm using that can perform probably as well as ball lightning, which is considered s+ tier build, is not even mentioned in the build tier list? you can check the gear and paragon of ppl in the leaderbord and players that were close to me has literally the same power of gear

“Z-tier” means they haven’t assigned a tier for the particular build yet FYI.

Ikr but doesn't matter. I'm sure they tried all the skills by this point, you can find their updated variant of thunderbolt ice shards and it sucks. Hundreds of thousands ppl are following these builds, so they should feel responsible for what are they presenting. For example d2r or poe/poe2 community instantly optimize and find the best way to minmax the builds. Guess they are just more autistic and higher iq than d4 normies

I’ve found this with my core group this season.
They’ve all discovered maxroll and are running barb, then whine because my auradin hammer can’t do t12, yet it’s the build that leveled them and I’m still the person they message for actual advice about playing said cookie cutter build.

Not to mention doing t9-10 I have more mythics and sparks then they do. Exception is I can’t do meph for mythic seal.

Yea for me too, I'm always changing and trying different things to find some improvements, so I enjoy poe/poe2 more where is more complexity, but in d4 is also fun sometimes to prove that majority is wrong and achieve more by finding deviations than grinding more.

For example in some season 3 or 4 when ball lightning build just came out I also was playing it but changed a few affixes, aspects and paragon and people would argue that maxroll variant is the best but the build was so broken that it would just melt everything anyway until they introduced pit of artificers where you could push harder and I was able to go deeper than all maxroll streamers who even had more expensive gear.

It bothers me a bit that there is no build variety in d4 but I don't blame that people play the same build because it's usually not a matter of 20% or 50% more damage but 5x or 20x more damage, so who wants to play some lame ass build that can't do shit in t12. But what bothers me the most is that people follow those builds without giving it a second thought and will overpay for items with the same affixes that are mentioned in maxroll build, even if there are affixes that would work the same or even better or you can mix those stats between the items... For exaple now everyone wants +2 shock skills on fractured winterglass ammy when I bet some x30 damage multi which is now available provides probably double the damage boost.

Usually folks try to theory craft changes each patch ahead of time but this new expansion completely reworked how skills function and interact and we weren’t provided much info ahead of time. For the first week or so everyone is just chasing the “op build” someone posted first. I don’t think it’s surprising that not all skills/builds have been evaluated at this point.

Normal seasonal balance changes in most games (like d2/poe) usually aren’t nearly as dramatic in scope as this expansion.
