Hello everyone,

I really like this forum and the content you create.
I always enjoy watching your walkthroughs. I’ve also made several myself over the years.

I’m now at the point where I’m introducing the game to my son. He’s still quite young, but he loves playing Diablo 2 LOD with me. We’ve played together on Battle.net as well as in single player while he was learning the basics.

I recently discovered the TCP/IP mode, and from what I understand, it’s possible to use the players 8 command. My goal is to play with him for fun, while still keeping a bit of a challenge for myself. Normally, I enjoy playing solo players 8 hardcore, but with a 7-year-old, that’s not exactly realistic.

So I’m trying to find a good balance: experimenting with some fun or unconventional builds while increasing the game’s difficulty enough to keep it challenging, whether my son is playing with me or not, though of course, it’s much more enjoyable when he’s there.

Have any of you tried TCP/IP with players 8? And do you know if the game mechanics remain the same (runeword creation, DClone spawning, etc.)?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Don't have comments on tcp/ip, but would like to suggest that your son strays away from any weapon dependent melee builds. Reason being that I once played with my brother, and he loss interest the moment he realised my nec skeletons was dealing more damage than him haha.

Maybe an Avenger so his sorceress can deal damage alongside you?
