If you’re the one killing shit you’re kind of at a disadvantage to be the one to pick stuff up (vs the dudes who don’t attack). BUT You need these Randy’s in the game so you get better drops and more exp
Options:
1). Maybe take the enemies low and let your merc finish em off. This way you’ll have an equal shot at picking up the items. Eth reapers toll + fort + guillaumes face will have your merc shredding baddies.
2). When Randy’s appear on your screen teleport a few screens away from them, kill shit further away from them. If they suck, they might even die trying to keep up with you.
3). If you’re not yet lvl 94, leave the baal runs and chaos runs to all the Randy’s and kill shit off the beaten path. May I suggest full clearing ws1, 2 and 3? Pits? Ancient tunnels? Stony tomb? Any of the new lvl 85 areas?
4). I don’t mean this one as a mean comment. Make some friends. Have your friends be the one to fill up your games. (This is super easy if you switch to d2r on console). When you run with your homies you can set up parameters on how to share the loot. Anything that drops is split down the middle. Sell the item and share the fg. Do one of you need the item? Have homeboy buy you out of your half of the item.
But let’s be real. The fact that 1 gg item drops and 7 ppl end up being butthurt because they didn’t pick it up is exactly what makes this game so much better than d3 or d4. In 2 days, after reset, everyone has all the best d4 shit and then it’s back to d2.
