Final update!
Artemis moved on to battle the ancients. No Cursed in first try, so I slowly but surely shot them down. Korlic was first. Annoying bugger kept ignoring Valk/merc and leaping to me. Madawc went down quickly after. Somehow I managed to separate Talic early on, so dealing with him alone was easy. I played extra cautious in case I died to a random WW.
The next part was something I dread. I'm not afraid of any mobs except Burning Souls, and WSK2 & Throne both have them. Seriously, I'm done with trying to clear them with Artemis. They just kill my fun. Not even ashamed of this failure. This build is not tuned for them. No resist and no HP = 1 hit ko if I don't D/E/A.
Unfortunately, WSK2 did spawn. I didn't want to have to go through Ancient's Way to WSK2 again, so I made a dash to the WP. Didn't go smoothly obviously haha.

I remade the game until there wasn't any Burning Souls and proceeded from there. Thankfully Throne was mainly just Dolls and Tempress, though a Champion doll mob camped the entrance so I almost got screwed.
I had no problems with Baal waves except for wave 2. More irritating than anything, as I needed to focus the mummies first but too many skeletons distracting merc/Valk. Waves 4 & 5 were surprisingly easy, though it felt cheesy because they spent 75% of the time frozen by FA.
Baal was a fairly long fight, as merc/valk kept dying. I also had to regularly TP back whenever he spawns clone or tentacles as I am unable to deal with them. After a long fight and spending almost all of gold reviving merc, we did it folks!!!


Overall, Souls aside, Artemis was a really fun character. I suppose having the ability to damage big groups of monsters makes her less tiring than my Fury Druid or Frenzy Barb. Few things on this run.
- Valk is OP
- Magic arrow is junk in 1.14D
- I'm so glad I made the switch to Might merc and respec 1 point FA. Sometimes more damage is better than defensive play with HF merc. I don't usually like doing respecs for my runs, but it was a planning error from the start.
- CtC Amp mod on rare weapon is a surprisingly viable alternative to lawbringer for melee characters. Very important to have it on a fast weapon though. World of difference between Great Bow and Siege Crossbow.
- Interesting interaction between number of +cold damage sources and FA freeze length. As much as I dislike relying on FA, it was necessary for this run.
- Artemis found quite a number of cool items. 3 x Gheed, Lightning GC, Trap GC, 2x Jav GC, Druid Summoning GC, Nec Summoning GC, Shadow GC, multiple elite uniques like Doombringer, Windhammer, Bstar etc.
- Pew pew pew.
What's next for Artemis? I have already cleared cows (nothing fancy dropped). I'll probably just run Pits/LK/Tunnels/Chaos on P3 for a while till I get bored. I think I wanna find a Lo and WF/Buriza/Razortail before I call it an end. We'll see.
Stay tuned for my next project, which will likely be an Avenger. Not sure if it's doable, but I'll just attempt and see first.
