I'll be moving in slowly over the next week or so, what are some things that people usually forget to buy?
I have everything I can think of for the place.

Kitchen:
Plates, bowls, cups, salt shaker, fridge, stove, microwave, table, chairs, most of the utensils, silverware, the basics. What do I need?
I will have to buy spices and stuff for cooking, what are the basics? Like sugar, flour, salt, etc.
Basic things for foods, noodles, rice, oatmeal, stuff like that. What else?

Bathroom:
Towels, soaps and such, rugs, shower curtain, shower rod.
What else is there?

Bedroom:
Bed, dressers, bookshelves.
Am I missing anything?

Living room:
TV, TV stand, couch, more bookshelves.

Decorative:
A shit ton of picture frames, candles out the ass.
What else is there to do?

Cleaning supplies:
Broom, mop, bucket, lysol, mean green, awesome!, bunch of other random cleaning products.

Epic gaming room:
2 desks, 2 desktop computers for the desks, 2 Xbox 360's, a wii, a bunch of gaming/game posters, surge protectors, mini fridge.

That's definitely something I forgot about, lol. And toilet paper for the bathroom! lots of it, haha.

Garbage bags.. if your an eco-terrorist you'll need a few different colored bags... i just use black myself.
you should call before hand and setup your internet and cable if your gonna be moving in there for sure, its sucks being without that stuff for a few days/a few weeks untill the cable company can make a trip to you.
Beer...

You have to use the area specific bags that you buy at the store down the street, for fucking $26 for 30 bags.
Already have the cable company coming out on the 26th to give internets, nn cable. I can't move in until I have the electric in my name, which will have to wait until monday cause electric company closed on weekends. :[

Too young for beer cause lame.

You forgot the two most important items that are crucial for all first apartments.

Mouse traps. (you can never own too many)

1 tootsie roll.

Use little pieces of the tootsie roll and press as firmly as possibly onto the proper bait placement location.

Why tootsie rolls? One of the few things the mouse can't get safely off the trap.

Trust me, no matter how nice your apartment may be there will be one of two things (if not both)

Mice and Cockroaches.
