Hello Darkness My Old Friend...

Background:
I am a Coffee Shop Manager of a Local Mom & Pop Shop
I have been a Barista for well over a year now.

Why:
As I get more in to the number aspect side of running a potential franchise shop,
I thought I would use this as a format to keep up my love of coffee, chai, and other espresso bar drinks.

Drinks:
At my shop, we attempt to revolutionize everything and anything all at once.
Some are great successes; Others are funny memories.

My personal accomplishment was re-inventing the Chai Latte, adding innovated flavors such as Cheesecake, Toasted Marshmallow, and other fine flavors to a Chai Tea Latte
On all yelp, google, facebook, square reviews, everyone is raving about the Chai Latte

Here's to us!

This is a Pumpkin Latte, made with Whole Milk and Steamed Marshmallows inside the milk, with a squirt of a Toasted Marshmallow Syrup.
&& of course, cinnamon sprinkled on top.

Before you, is one of my regulars, Donna, her favorite beverage-

Double Shot Italian Macchiato, two pumps Vanilla, two Raw Sugars, Extra foamy, with Skim Milk.
She descibes it as a "Cappuccino, with all the flavor, none of the fat, and half the calories!"

Traditional Latte, Freshly Ground Locally Roasted Espresso and Whole Milk used.

I'm personally terrible at latte art, but this is not as terrible as it normally comes out.

Lol those flavoured coffee are for pussies. And sorry you're not gonna revolutionize the coffee world by putting marshmallows inside. Starbucks etc already make this. To me it's all about the quality of the coffee, and how it's made. Imo coffee should stay simple, like a perfectly done espresso. So you can taste the quality of the coffee, not sugar and other shit. It's like good quality ingredients, don't mess with them, keep them simple and pure. That is all.

Revilutionizing not talking about coffee. I'm talking about loyalty programs, Bluetooth scanners, processes behind the espresso bar.
If you want to be a nerd about coffee. Let's be a nerd. Talk to me about crema. Talk to me about calibrating a machine. Let's go.
What's your preferred grind and pull time for your coffee. Which one releases the your preferred aroma ? What's your favorite kind of roast? Brazilian, Peru, Bali. For your acidity of your coffee, if you're in the mood to enhance it, how do you? How do you like your filter mesh for your pour overs? What is your preferred technique?

I don't need to add 5x creams and 5x sugars to all my coffee for me to enjoy it. Nor do I need to water down my espresso.

I hand pick all my coffee. I appreciate it black. That was the first time I had my coffee, I didn't know there was another way, until I had some of my mothers coffee.

My relationship with my roaster is fabulous, I get only the best and freshest batches, and he knows if I taste anything off with any of my beans, he yells at his staff. For my quality, I expect nothing but perfect.

Edit: spelling

im guessing with those kind of drinks alot of your customers are female. i prefer dark roast normally just drink it with a lil bit of cream i never put sugar in my coffee alot of people in canada are same way we like our coffee strong atleast the men do anyway haha.your drinks still look appetizing however i agree with hofx2 that all that sugar kind of ruins the coffee. need to be able to taste the actual flavor of the coffee also less chance of getting diabetes.
