I usually just use soup mix, broth, or soy sauce for my rice...

Anyone know of some good alternatives to add to my selection?

Rice Pilaf is quite nice. You basically sautee some veggies (carrot, celery, onion, peas, whatever) and then mix that with rice and chicken broth and bake it in the oven.

mushroom sauce

you fry the mushrooms and garlic with just a bit of oil, and maybe add water and tomato paste (to boil too)

any hearty soup, like mushroom barley or split pea. i used to do that when i was working at a school.
