well i have like 12x 22 oz bottles full of my last batch.

chilled one and opened it and the foam/ head of the beer came rushing out.

wouldnt stop, so i poured in a glass and tried some tasted almost like wine. or vinegar

i guess something must have been dirty when i bottled or something contaminated my last batch.

pretty bummed but ill have to buy a new kit to make next or maybe try that mead seems pretty easy.

if it has more of an vinegar flavor it would indicate that you got some bacteria contaminating your batch. some bacteria convert alcohols into acetic acid which is what vinegar is. if i were you, id still check other bottles before dumping it all out. it could just have been one dirty bottle.

also, it can depend on what you were making. some beers are designed to have acetic acid character to them

no it was all of them unfortunately. they were being stored for a decent amount of time 3 months or so. but i dont think that would effect anything. think i had something not cleaned enough.

that was the recipe.

Dry hopping my Two Hearted IPA clone tonight, then bottling in about a week and a half. Can't wait for it to be finished.
