This is a good method if you don't want to use a 3rd party app/script (obviously accepting that both procexp and handle.exe are also 3rd party apps, albeit Microsoft recommended).

Note the parameters in the original post are incorrect. The parameter is not "realm" but "address".

-username <YourBnetEmail> -password <YourBnetPassword> -address <REGION>
* <REGION> could be us.actual.battle.net, EU.actual.battle.net or KR.actual.battle.net for Americas, Europe or Asia respectively.

If you're one of these people that have extracted game files for supposed faster loading, you'd also add the parameters: -direct -txt

To reply to another comment I saw in the original post., authentication to Asia servers via parameters has since been resolved as of about 2 weeks ago. The workaround at the time was to connect via AuthTokens instead (essentially the same method opening from Battle.net client uses).
Unfortunately the parameter for skipping the intro videos doesn't work.

Ever since a recent Windows 11 patch a few months back, killing the handle via handle64 doesn't work consistently anymore - often comes back with "invalid handle" error.

I notice that whenever that happened, for some reason opening process explorer did something to allow handle64 to close it programmatically.

So I modified that code for snippet to check for the "invalid handle" error, and launches process explorer if so.
