cuz I said it looks like that it makes me dumb?

your name suits you well broski

The brZ and frs are the same car..... Subaru's engine, Toyota's design. The major differences are front end, interior and trim.
It's a joint venture.

You're a moron. Stick with your bloated, UGlY neon

You said they look alike......which they should......

Your original statement implied that you didn't know they were supposed to look alike.

I can see why people would want this car for under 30k, its a pretty good price

my only problem is with 30k I can go out and buy a shelby gt500 with 10k miles

sorry but I'd take the shelby

Excuse me?  This car is very balanced, do some research......

Reading comprehension. Google it. Performance is about balance. Not weight balance, performance balance. Handling, braking, and acceleration. For margin ally more money I'd take a mustang gt over a brz any day if the week.

And I DO understand why people like the car. Its just obviously lacking in 1 area. Power.

I know what balance means and refers to.......

And it's perfectly fine that you're choosing massive amounts of power. You just have to understand that many people are trading in their high hp cars for a more fun driving experience.

I'd still take my Datsun over this any time.

And whose to say that initial quality lasts? I'd personally never buy a brand new first gen ANYTHING without waiting at least a year to see if quality control issues arise.

In the end its still a 200bhp 2800 pound car, yeah the motor sits further back creating a better center of balance, but....

Fun to me = Power to weight ratio

I'd still take a Lotus Elise over this car ANY day, and have 10 grand to spend on gas.

If the BRZ weighed 500 pounds less and had 70 more horsepower the thing would be a rocket, but sadly, can't change the fact that its still a N/A subaru, that handles well..I guess..If you could ever get up to speed to warrant such a maneuver.

I'm sure the BRZ is appealing to a lot of people, myself DEFINITELY not included, who don't work on their own cars like I do, and don't take driving as seriously as I do, but in the end its all preference.

But don't try to say that the BRZ is some new magnificent idea. Well balanced rwd sports cars have been made consistantly throughout history. This is NOTHING new or amazing. It's been done before....and trust me, it's been done better, for less

So it looks like you haven't read reviews or read owners reviews, excellent.

The fact that your comparing your "purchase" to a lotus gives strength to the brZ.

Nah dude, I've read the reviews, and better yet, I've actually DRIVEN the car... One of the perks of doing work for dealerships.

Is it a decent little coupe?

Yes.

Would it be a nice daily driver?

I can only assume so.

Is it the BEST bang for your buck?

No....it simply is not.

Fun is subjective. To each person it's different.

Just cause a couple dudes with higher end euro sports cars traded (down) in my humble opinion, doesn't mean this car is the best fit for everyone.

Problem is, I know what I want. The BRZ simply doesn't deliver.

I'll admit however I'm a tough sell, since this is MY industry.

Call me old fashioned but I think a flat or straight six will trump a flat 4 boxer engine ANY time. Not to mention the lubrication/oiling problems boxers are notorious for, and the fact that they are noisy little motors..They'd be so much better off with a timing BELT rather than a heavy ass chain.

But if you're buying the car, and you like it, whats the problem? You're the one who has to drive it. You don't need our approval.

I'll take my 40 year old Datsun, and enjoy the thrill of an acceptable power to weight ratio, in ANY direction.
