What I dont get is why the GT vs BRZ is such a bad comparison in everyones eyes. The BRZ is 4k more than the v6. The GT is 4k more than the BRZ.

My only argument against the BRZ is the lack of power and over hype.

Although the numbers ive seen vary I good bit. I read the V6 weights 3400, the BRZ 2800, and the miata 2100 (might have been an older model??).
I suppose the BRZ provides a decent balance but it just doesnt impress me that much at $26,000+

Hype shouldn't hinder your thoughts or opinions.

It's not decently balanced.....it's very well balanced. It offers everything other cars in it's price range offer AND MORE, EXCEPT for hp....which instead you get lightweight and not to mention great MPG

You do realize there are guys getting 5.0s for right around 30k right?
40k is boss 302 territory and good luck keeping up with one of those in a brz

All the hype over the brz is just a bit annoying to me.
Last thread I mentioned that it looked like there wasnt much room to add a turbo or supercharger under the hood and got flamed by people saying that there is plenty of room. Now people say its too small.
People always talk about wanting more power, now cars that have more power are unnecessary.

Its pretty much a better looking miata with a hard top..

Not talking used

A 302 sticker I think is around 45 a leguna around 52??
Could be completely off.

A fun car though none the less I'd rather pay 30 for a 5.0 with under 50k miles though

And awd???^^^

as if the handling matters THAT much, unless you live near a track, or a place where theres tons of winding roads. more often than not people are going to use the strait on power over the handling ability of the brz/frs.
its a cool concept, but the limited production probably had to do with them thinking they arent going to sell very much. if you go to a subar dealer looking to buy a semi-fast car for 25k why the hell would you buy the brz over a wrx? it has like 100 less HP and isnt AWD...

You don't understand this car at all.....

AWD is completely irrelevant.

I've been following this car since the beginning....people are trading IN Their wrxs for this car along with other" better" cars.

For the billionth time....read reviews, look at forums and watch the videos.....the praises are all there AND the reasons why this car is being chosen over higher power cars.

The 302 starts at 42 and the GT in the low 30s (dont feel like checking the exact number but it was barely above 30)

Your reading comprehension could use some work. Im stating that the problem with I have with the miata is the lack of power. the brz adds a bit of power but also a bit of weight.
The part I like about the miata is the fact that you can drop an LS motor in it, push 500 HP and still handle great.

And why would you want AWD on a low powered car? Just robbing more power.

Ok let me get this strait, a small compact car with RWD and minimal power, sure the looks are decent.
its hype nothing else man.....this car will soon be forgotten about. theres other cars i would rather buy, the 370 being one of them.

Have you read the reviews? I mean, it's not hard, I have asked ten times for you/ everyone to put some effort to knowin about this car.

The reviews were excellent and the consumer reviews so far have been excellent, it clearly lives up to its hype.

I have always been a big fan of the Z. Buy the experience inside the car is dull including horrid visibility
