Don't fry your piston rings sir. You've done way too much work for that.

Then me and Einstein will have to tear down the block...

Another mad boring update.

Sorry, I've been working constantly.

I got the old Ford truck I'm working on fired up! It's certainly nice to hear the 360 breathe a little bit.

But as for the Z...

Transmission Fluid arrived...

And I've been slowly wiring the engin***, while I wait for a steady stream of more parts.

Thermostat housing with all the various sensors is complete. And my thermostatic switch for my electric cooling fan is wired. Everything is soldered and shrink wrapped...

Most everything is labeled, and I am figuring out the best, and cleanest way to route the wiring. Below is preliminary wideband routing.

Work continues....

This is the only thread I track.

Tis such beautiful work. I wish I was that good.

But tbh every time i see the title i always think it means hes shaving his manhood instead of manifold lol.

I really appreciate that. Thank you. And I'm entirely self taught, so it just takes time. The best way to learn is by taking something apart.

And yep, I've been shaving my manparts. Haha

These last few pieces are KILLING me.

Chipping away at it. Soon....soon. I want to hear my exhaust so bad now....

Plug wires and my valve cover breather arrived today.

Taylor Thundervolt 10.4mm spark plug wires. Monster diameter.

I'm owed around a grand for some work. So TECHNICALLY, I have more than enough money to make the car run again.....However getting paid......Now that's a whole other story entirely.....

Haha don't be jealous til it runs.

Which may be postponed slightly because of Murphy and that damned Law of his.

Last night I made an "OOPS!"

I accidentally grounded out constant 12 volts from my headlight combination switch, and now I have lost all power leading into the fuse box. Luckily after a couple quick tests I determined that when the fuse box IS powered, everything works. lights, ignition, gauges. (no EFI is hooked up yet obviously)

So at least my 500 dollar switches aren't fried. Dodged a few hundred bullets there....

Looks like I have some investigating to do......shit.

All because I dropped a screwdriver and it just so happened to hit my steering column....Causing an arc from the constant 12v on the switch...

I'll update tonight hopefully.

Thumbs down.

Fixed dat shit.

This was one of the wires I found and replaced. Now I've got power at the fuse box. And everything in the car works once more. Phew!

Also wired up the light to my boost gauge.

Once my 1/8 npt -> 5/32 fitting arrives, I'll install the new, non broken, boost gauge for good.

Then I wire my wideband! and hopefully calibrate it as well.
