All the hype over the brz is just a bit annoying to me.
Last thread I mentioned that it looked like there wasnt much room to add a turbo or supercharger under the hood and got flamed by people saying that there is plenty of room. Now people say its too small.
People always talk about wanting more power, now cars that have more power are unnecessary.

Its pretty much a better looking miata with a hard top..

The brZ has already been turbo'd. Read reviews of current owners, there is more space under the hood than you think.

As i read reviews, I feel much more satisfied buyin a small, light car that handles EXTREMELY well but sacrifices a little bit of power, than an overweight powerhouse monster.

There is a ~$4k difference between the V6 and BRZ
There is a ~$4k difference between the GT and BRZ

GT rapes the V6
V6 out lapped the BRZ

The BRZ seems fun to drive and all but the lack of power kills it for me.
We have a lowered Miata that handles like its on rails but you cant accelerate to save your life.
If they offered a V6 or V8 that put down good power without running boost than it would be more appealing to me.

The v6 has over 100 more hp than the brz and only beat it by 1.5 seconds....It also had a "Track package including tires"

The comparison between a GT and a brz is retarded.....


Regardless, the BRZ/FRS was never about power. Never. It's an affordable, lightweight sports car that handles extremely well.

What I dont get is why the GT vs BRZ is such a bad comparison in everyones eyes. The BRZ is 4k more than the v6. The GT is 4k more than the BRZ.

My only argument against the BRZ is the lack of power and over hype.

Although the numbers ive seen vary I good bit. I read the V6 weights 3400, the BRZ 2800, and the miata 2100 (might have been an older model??).
I suppose the BRZ provides a decent balance but it just doesnt impress me that much at $26,000+
