I was in the kitchen and she kept looking at me blah blah gave her some really soft food table food (nothing that could choke or anything 1000% even if eaten without biting it)
Then 20 mins later she kept swallowing and licking her lips like something stuck in her throat and she hasn't gone outside, she still doing it 3 hours later
She was stressing herself out earlier following me everywhere but im really not sure what to do

She's relax now and sleepy but I was stalking her and she still heavy swallowing a bit

I tried to give her some slightly wet bread ball to chew like humans do when you got something stuck in ur throat
I tried to give her water but didn't really want it

12 years old female labrador

I guess by the time someone reply here she will be fine cuz forum dead af but ya, its late and no vets close anyway so idk

I suggest looking around her gums & cheeks for loose food.
Dogs tongues don't work like ours, as they can't move their tongue to get the food that happens to get stuck in those places.
I wouldn't be surprised if her air passage was fine, but food was trapped between her lips & gums.

Might be dumb, but maybe she was possibly nauseous? I know that when we get nauseous sometimes we salivate a lot and ofc habitually swallow it.

Could be a possible explanation as to why she also didn't want to drink any water.
