My female doberman is nearly 1 1/2 years old. She has always been gentle, sweet and loves to cuddle and play. She also socializes/exercises with people with other dogs frequently.

Just a few moments ago, I commanded her to head to her crate for bedtime as she was laying on the couch. She wasn't listening so I reached for her to pick her up and she started growling and showing teeth. I persisted and she quickly put her mouth around my wrist but not actually putting force into her bite but she very well could have. I kept trying to pick her up but she kept on showing teeth and growling. Eventually I just put her leash and collar on her and brought her to her crate. (btw, her crate is large enough for her to move around in)

She has never been aggressive until just now. The only thing that has recently changed in the environment I live in is my grandma moved in along with her 3 year old beagle whose fat as fuck.

My parents dog does similar things. If you try to pet him or pick him up if he's sitting near my mom he does the same shit. Growls and shows teeth. You just need to be stern with her if she does that so she doesn't make it a habit.

Not a good sign if you are the primary owner. Maybe she was hiding something tasty like a treat or something she likes.

Either way, this would be a good time to discipline her. Make her know that when you say something, you mean it. I don't mean to beat her up but you're gunna need to show her you are alpha. 1 and half years old is like a teenager and she's at her rebel stage.

Also try to find out exactly why she's acting that way.
