Aww.
I want to trade in my sisters gerbils for a bunny but I don't think the pet store will do it :( haha

hehe, 3 gerbils might be a better deal :)

Rabbits are cute, Awesome little things but i wont get 1, I got 2 dogs and my little 1 chases wild rabbits all the time.

Ah no. Haha. Rabbits are much more expensive than gerbils. I know of some that go for as high as $100 because they are show quality. My little Dexter was only $20 from a breeder because his black eye band on his left eye does not completely circle his eye... so he's not show or breeding quality. Just pet. : ) Although the rest of him looks show quality to me, lol. He has the blockiest head and tiniest ears. He's so cute.

Good idea on not getting a bun though. When I was living at my parent's, the dog was never allowed in my room and out of the 3 cats, at least one always looked like he wanted to eat him...

Dam thats pretty cheap, My dog's cost £700 for 1 ( Husky sled breeder ) £400 ( Little Westie, Parents ran marathons but mine is a lazy mut lol )

I would rather have a pet than a show pet :) Show animals need too much grooming :)

Yeah... I think that sometimes you pay for what you are getting though. I know it's awful to support breeders (because of pet over-population) but I feel that the quality that some of them produce is great. I've had a few rabbits and their personality really depends on the previous owner. If they are a large-scale breeder (which is usually where pet stores get theirs) they do not socialize them at all with people so they are standoffish and not used to people. The breeder I got Dexter from only had two does and one buck, and only one litter at a time, and all were kept inside, so they were socialized and used to everything from the day they were born. And it pays off- Dexter is so used to everything. Nothing bothers him one bit! Only thing that I've noticed that bugs him is when we cook food because he hides in his hutch (he has always been housed inside, in the living room, where we spend most our time and the kitchen is attached). But he's good. I don't think I'll ever have another bun as good as him.

Someone was giving away a rabbit for free with the cage and bedding and food so..
I took it :)

You figured out she is a Mini Rex? Is her fur like, super soft? Like velvet? : )

The main way to tell a Rex or Mini Rex is by the fur. It literally feels just like velvet. It's pretty cool!
