I finished training yesterday, today I got a crap load of enhancements to work on.

Thankfully, most of the stuff I am working for is scheduled for the next release.

It is kind of weird going back and forth between our old architecture (winForms based) and the new one.

On top of that, I joined at a really interesting time, as we are getting ready to overhaul everything from silverlight to html5/js (I might have said this before)

Overall, going pretty well. Still learning a lot.

come up with a javascript/html5 project yet?

one of the things on my bucket list is to create a nicer web page for my youtube videos. you can use the youtube api to build it yourself.

I am still thinking of something to do. I don't know shit about games/fancy graphics and tbh am not terribly interested in them.

As far as things I like, I am a huge manga fan. I think something manga-related would be cool. Maybe scraping manga sites and compiling a list of recommendations to a user who provides a few genre tags.

Perhaps for each new manga found, they are added to a DB. Along with the manga, there is a user-based rating (from my site, not the usual sites). Perhaps it lists a top 10 sorted by user ratings.

something like that could be interesting. Obviously things like this exist I think, but it'd be mostly for learning.

Also, I'd have to figure out what in HTML5 is new that I could use that isn't gfx related lol. Maybe local storage or something.

edit: i dunno, maybe that is a bad idea. But something manga related would be cool ~_~

The tricky part is getting access to a DB of mangas. Not sure if there is just an open one people use, or if you have to DIY

scrape it! or just use a different front end, and send the data to MAL for processing.
