Another quality-free post lacking anything remotely close to resembling substance brought to you by your friends in government.

I'm sorry that you're just too fucking stupid to wrap your mind around an issue unless someone did a poll about it first, but just maybe you could leave whatever this is at home next time?

The is no way of making this assertion positively.

Guns don't kill, people kill. Guns are tools, no different than cars; they're both incredibly dangerous when used improperly.

you can't pretend the purpose of the things you're comparing are irrelevant

guns are made specifically for killing/injuring/threatening

you might as well compare pencils with knives as stabbing weapons

Constantly trying to push their limits...

If the government has a heavily armed military presence there to monitor this, and something happens and they blow all these people away would anyone actually feel bad for them? You're just ASKING for trouble...

Couldn't one say the same thing about gay rights protests? Or how about the civil rights protests? Those damn hooligans, always trying to push their limits!

An armed army marching on the Capital is an act of aggression. Since policemen are trained to fire on anyone brandishing a weapon at them, there very well could be shots fired, and when that many people are armed, it would turn into a huge shootout. This is totally irresponsible and asinine. No it's not comparable to gay rights or civil rights protests, because all of those people weren't strapped with automatic rifles, we're they?
I'd be scared to think what would happen if even one accidental shot is fired into the air or something. All these knucklehead assholes would probably just start shooting.

They're protesting for their firearm rights, so it's related to their protest. They have "empty holster" protests at colleges around colleges all the time, where students come to school with an empty handgun holster, protesting for their right to carry guns on college campuses. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Just because these people are carrying guns, doesn't mean they're "rebels" or trying to overthrow the government.

Was the Bonus Army of the 1930s trying to overthrow the government?

These people have made statements on that facebook page that they will fire upon government agents if they choose to make the protest violent. They are radicals, they are rebels, and they are fucking idiots.
Not to mention, this event is not permitted. They have, themselves, labeled it as civil disobedience. Their leader has made the statement "it's time to abolish the US federal government"
YES, they are trying to overthrow the government.

And what the civil rights protestors did in the 1960s was illegal as well.

There's a difference between a minority group fighting for the rights they don't have, and a bunch of nutjob rednecks fighting for a right they already have and that is not in jeopardy.

Except they are a minority group. And their rights are in jeopardy, for instance, this topic is just five topics below this one: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=67270830&f=119
