Can you say there is no fate and that we truly have free will if the same actions will always happen if all variables are kept exactly the same? Unless the results aren't always the same how can you tell the difference be freewill and an illusion of freewill? Fate existing or not?

i don't see the point in this statement even if it's true. the event already occurred. i chose the green amp. there's no going back.. all you're saying is if i happened to videotape the event that every time i play the movie it will turn out the same.. i can't rewind life.

If the Judeo-Christian point of view is correct we do not have free will but I'd like to think that we do.

Ironically came accross a NYT article about this exact topic.

"Here we are setting out on a regress that we cannot stop. Ultimate responsibility for how one is is impossible, because it requires the actual completion of an infinite series of choices of principles of choice."

But read the article for yourself, and if the philosophic arguments made are confusing, just get through them and the author will explain their meaning.

Hope you get something from it.

god is all knowing so it knows what you will do and how you do it before you; in the end you can call it whatever you want, but god already knows

Hmm if our lives are determiend by God how can probability exist?

I mean if i roll a die there is a 1/6 chance to hit a number, the more times i do this, the closer my results show there is a 1/6 chance.

If there were such thing as a God who pre-determined our lives, why do i not roll 27 x and get the same number? Or roll 1 - 6 in order every time since he planned it that way.
