and in a completely shocking development, after musk's purchase of twitter and firing of staff, the platform has seen an explosion in racism (n-word usage up several hundred percent), open anti-semitism, and death threats.

we always knew THAT'S the speech right wingers want to protect when they talk about "free speech". when conservative lawmakers and initiatives censor LGBTQ content and honest history, they are all for it...

I could be wrong, but this is what Elon is trying to fix, he wants every account to be verified to a person, but it's going to take time

He said that before cancelling the acquisition & being forced to finally go for it. I guess he will do like all others now: hidding the real amount of bots and shitmultis.

the problem with twitter over the last 3+ years is the toxic environment due to users hiding their identity

if Elon is going to make money off the acquisition, it would be removing that

the banned users spoke their mind, but didn't hide their identity

It's everywhere the same: bots and various national agencies, also militant bots & fake/multi accounts, are taking over.
I guess it will take time... The same kind of time trump was talking about releasing his tax bill. Good example.
