Which must be why the internet is anonymous for those who aren't uber-technologically-savvy, and why people like me have to deal with anonymous trolls left and right.

Except the government claims it has and does protect Americans by targeting subversive elements within the United States.

Again, how could this possibly harm Americans who aren't actively breaking the law?

Because the government can and will use circumstantial evidence to target certain minority groups.

If you're afraid of what u say on the Internet then u are failing at the Internet. Now I am failing more at the Internet then I used to, so in conclusion not having a place I where free fuckin speech is not totally ok kinda sucks a big fat western popsicle.
