You can lose smell, even taste and you are not getting it back soon because the virus camp for months (maybe more) where these precious cells are growing; YES, it eat them all and then eat all the new, baby ones.
Not to mention some people have a very low regeneration rate of these cells, those are uber-fucked. Losing smell and taste is royal way for depression.
