aren't those mostly all seats that are considered republican safe? fivethirtyeight unfortunately doesn't have a senate race map like they do with the house unfortunately (which is up to almost 80% chance of Dems taking the house mwuahahaha, up from about 75% last time i checked)

not to go too Trumpy, but those polls aren't exactly flawless as of late. We've already had a slew of surprise victories in special elections this year when polling pointed the other way. I'm not one to discount democratic optimism, there's a pretty clear blue wave right now. whether that's a no wake zone ripple or a tsunami remains to be seen.

Maybe Tom Steyer should pay Putin a billion dollars for the tape of Trump fucking underage hookers. That would be worth more than the millions he's investing on stupid stuff like bumper stickers. I don't think a Republican could win PotUS for half a generation after that.

But yeah, House will flip but not the Senate.

we'll see. even if the Dems don't take the senate, which they won't, I think you could call it a win if they net-lose only a seat or two.

in this years senate race, the dems have 2-3 seats where they can play offense, and like 15 where they are on the defense, on some of them heavily. they would have to knock off 2 incumbents AND hold on to all their current seats, many of which are in deep red states.

if they were to win the senate, they'd probably get to more than 350 votes in the house and the trump presidency would be over, legislatively.

This is possible if Democratic voter turnout matches Republican voter turnout as a percentage of registered voters. But good luck getting Democrats to vote.

I agree with this 100%. The problem I see is that (D) doesn't have a solid candidate to toss out in 2020 right now. No one is spurring any excitement to take down Drumpf.
