Then I scrub with a wire brush, to exfoliate.
Dust off with the compressor, and wipe with navy jelly.
Then a good coat of a zinc rich primer, 3 cans.

5 cans, flat black rust tough paint.
5 coats, letting each can dry before starting the next.
What a difference! ( blade had to be cut for tabletop to be installed)

Now that I've blocked in the shadows, time for some highlights.
And done!
Next time, see it finished!

It did take 4.5 cans, and that's all they had. I wanted all flat black, so I just put on the semi flat to start and finished with flat.
Still up in the air if it's going to be a glass top or spaulted maple top with iron trim and apron.

Got it for 100$.
I was at a guys house picking up something I had wanted off Craig's list, and I asked if he thought he had anything else I may want. And he showed me this, half burried outside.
Was love at first sight.
