This is correct, PSA is consider KING of the graded cards. I have quite a few Sports and Pokemon Cards graded with PSA and BGS. During the peak my cards were worth about $100k and now its about 1/3 of the price. (Majority of my cards was childhood collection and/or picked up prior to the Covid price surge).
Beckett Black Label 10 > BGS Pristine 10 > PSA 10 > BGS 9.5 > PSA 9 > PSA 8.5 = BGS 9 > PSA 8 > BGS 8.5
BGS 9.5 is roughly about 30-40% of a PSA 10 value and the BGS 9.5 is about 25% more valuable then a PSA 9. Subgrades do play a huge factor in comparing value. A BGS 9.5 with 9 9.5 9.5 9.5 sub grades is not the same as a BGS 9.5 with 10 10 9.5 9.5 sub grades. Some argue the BGS 9.5 with 10+ sub grades is equal to a PSA 10.
PSA is more lenient on the Centering grading of the card vs. Beckett is much more strict. But IMO PSA grades harsher on the surface/edges/corners then Beckett. PSA allows up to a 60/40 centering and still can receive a Gem Mint 10 grade.
Ever since 2022, eBay and other payment platform will now requite a 1099 to be sent after $600 in sales. Therefore IMO has killed the flipping game.
Very well said.
