The total of the military aid from the US to Ukraine over the entire conflict, since Feb 2022 is $44.2 billion.

Much of that is still yet to even arrive in Ukraine or be fully operational.
So if another $48 billion is pledged that would constitute another 105% of what has already been pledged, over 2 years already.
Being generous here then you've only overestimated the military aid by $56 billion dollars and wrongly attributed that amount to 1 year instead of 2 years.

Hopefully that doesn't obliterate the point you were making.

I thought this was common knowledge for people who actually follow this conflict.

So the other aid (other than military aid) to Ukraine suddenly doesn't count? The Ukrainian government wouldn't even be able to pay salaries without that financial aid...

Not a “mere association agreement”.

Ukraine had to withdraw from FTA with Russia because of that agreement which would have hurt their trade more than “association agreement” would have benefitted their trade.

Russians were never opposed to Ukraine joining EU though. It’s not a security agreement - hence they are not threatened by it. Several EU countries (Ireland/Austria) are not in NATO - so joining NATO is not a prerequisite either (although it seems to help).
