Former AG William Barr isn't exactly a man who has any credibility left after his stint as AG under Trump. Why would you place so much emphasis on his opinion?

Barr has plenty of credibility, he stuck to his sincere conviction that the justice department should be aloof from political intrigue. He was vehemently opposed to Obama and Biden weaponizing the DoJ, and he aligned reluctantly with Trump as long as Trump opposed the deep state. When Trump in his desperation tried to pressure Barr to see what levers if any he had, Barr just flatly told him to fuck off and resigned on the spot. Plenty of reason to trust Barr's sincerity even if his political preferences are dubious

my memory. early on barr came out and stated "no evidence of wide spread voter fraud". no document were ever offered/found that he ever investigated anything.

He said he wouldn't investigate for it in the absence of evidence and none cropped up despite all the republicans probing for it. Its not the AG's job to go on fishing expeditions for the president to cling to power with a baseless theory of voter fraud. Barr had a pretty easy calculation since he knew Trump had lost and was desperate and Barr had nothing to gain by following his charge

there was plenty of evidence. watching all thosee polls close all at the same time all in the states that it mattered. we knew what was up but not barr not the least bit curious polls kicking out poll watchers counting in secret. how could it get more obvious????

I don't place particularly high emphasis on his opinion - I just quoted him because he happened to do a great job articulating my perspective on this election. Trump winning this election might well end in disaster, but there is also the potential for a good outcome. If Biden wins reelection, disaster is guaranteed.

From my perspective, we're heading towards the type of country that bans anything Republicans don't like, dehumanizes and removes rights of LGBTQ+ citizens and encourages the use of military on America's streets. That's a pretty horrific outcome.

How is Biden a guaranteed disaster? I'm genuinely curious.
