Topic says it all. The 29-Gallon tank is currently holding five Glofish

We had the water sitting in the tank mixed with water conditioner for about 2 weeks, just put glofish in 2 weeks ago. The store pet specialist says to take out 25% of the water and fill it back up with more of the missing 25% conditioned water again it should be fine.

Anyone think otherwise? What is the process for all this? Should I take out the fish first, before taking out 25% of the water and filling it back up?

Please give me steps for the process. Thanks in advance!

First things first, you need to read what the ‘Nitrogen cycle’ is & why it’s important.

Here’s a quick video on how to do a water change.

I normally do about a 25% water change every week

Tap water has chlorine, chloramines & heavy metals in it. You should use a conditioner when doing WC’s

my gf has a 100OZ spring water, containing a solo fighting fish

i'm not sure if this is a good idea

i know it doesnt have to be perfect

the fish listens to music with me

(she says that she is correct on timing of water change)

(there is no rotation of water, it is still)

Yeah idk but ive had the same bunch of fish a long time now ..... somewhere around 5years atm, none of them die off due to water conditions, some of them have been killed off by others though, but that’s due to size changing and aggressive attitudes, the water doesn’t seem to hurt them at all.

How about distilled water from a jug from grocery store?

that's probably better for them than tapwater, i know some fish are sensitive to copper and etc... so distilled is prob better but i honestly do just use tap and mine are fine.

Yeah I was just thinking sans flouride sans NaCL, sans other particulates
They might enjoy it
Unless they need the iron and chlorine
