1) being a veteran doesn't make you better than anyone else.
2) 'The Widower, Mr MacNaughton, who had been campaigning for Nigel Farage's party in his hometown of Aldershot,' did more than just vote for the Brexit Party.
3) He shouldn't have sided with the Thatcherites, the fascists and the racists in the Brexit party if he didn't wanna get shaked.

Even better - Nigel Farage after being shaked said, 'Normal campaigning is becoming impossible'. Fantastic. That's just what we want.

Sure it does, it means he's willing to fight for the freedoms you enjoy

It's far more likely it means he was a poorly educated, lower class dude who, when presented with one of the very few options for success available to him, swallowed the recruitment officer's propaganda and went 'off to see the world'.
But sure. I'm also willing to fight for those freedoms. Most of us are. Some of us are smart enough to fight the right people. People like this guy who voted and campaigned for a group of Thatcherites, racists and fascists.

“It was a strawberry milkshake, my favourite flavour,” he said, adding that he would not be pressing charges should the thug who targeted him be caught. “The police took a statement and searched the bins to find the milkshake carton, they did a grand job. It’s an assault, but I won't be taking it further. His punishment is to have his silly actions plastered all over the place by the media.”

seems like an alright guy in this situation

Props to him for responding appropriately to getting a milk shake on him

That would still make him better than you.

I did get a good laugh at the 'liberals are fascists and racists' idiocy tho. very good caricature you are playing. props for sticking with it.
