I can't even feel a tint of anticipation because I know its going to suck.

Give us Diablo 2: REDUX, or don't mention the Diablo IP ever again.

The mechanics aren't even complicated. They could easily remake the entirety of Diablo 2 + Expansion EASILY. Most of it is simple basic math, the loot tables aren't exactly rocket science, and the AI is simple "see player, go to player, attack player"


Kill monster X, get X Xp modified by level, and items, and player count (SIMPLE ARITHMETIC)


That dev was either payed to say that; or really hates the game.

not really about the mechanics or programming ability doubt. remastered would imply some kind of artwork rehaul, which the old 3d files from BN just arn't compatible with today's editors & systems, etc. they'd be better off making an entirely new game (brevik talked about this an interview). he also said, d2 was so unique and different in how it functions, it wouldn't really be a d2 remastered version, it would be a totally different game

I hope you guys are ready for a diablo-themed expansion for hearthstone followed by an update to d2 that just bans you for desyncing

Which is fine, because it's still a ridiculously easy game to create with modern engines and coding techniques.
