My merc struggles with the frost skeletons from Baal's 2nd wave of minions. They make him attack soooo slow.
I changed his gear to Treachery and Obedience and now with 75 all res and fade they barely slow him at all (they do still slow him a bit though).
Is this because of the higher res or perhaps because of fade? According to d2 wiki res has no change on the slowing effect

My assumption is that you were also being hit by baals decrep for the additional slow and when you came back you were closer than he was to Baal and far enough away from you that he didn’t get hit with the decrepify

Fade (reduce curse duration) + Cannot be Frozen should do the trick.

holy shit, that avatar animation is amazing
edit: cold res reduces chill length, but not its effectiveness. it might've been decrepify as PikaBhew mentioned.
