I'm currently doing a single pass WT and I saved my normal imbue quest. It only just occurred to me (in a5 norm) that going back in acts, even just to stay in town and imbue or shop, is probably considered BM in a single pass wt. Is this correct?

I was hoping to save all of my imbues until I could potentially imbue a +2 pelt... But I'm starting to feel like that goes against the idea of "single pass".

If going back to imbue is not considered legit in a single pass wt, then I will simply never use the normal imbue, and I'll use my NM/Hell imbues as soon as they become available.

I'm still kind of on the fence personally about whether it should be allowed or not, so I'm looking for some opinions. Community take the wheel!

no one cares there is like 0.0001% chance you get upgrade/endgame item from imbue

It resets the maps so that may affect the single pass?

I only need 1 mod, +2, for it to beat pretty much any other helm I'll find. Still a low chance but not that low!



That is very true, if I did so, I would need to wait until I reached a WP like Frigid Highlands so that I could just clear up until the WP and then move forward after that.

Yep I agree. Also I don’t see a problem with going back as long as you aren’t killing anything? That’s what I see as a single pass. Same with going back to a certain town to shop something. As long as you only clear each map/area once I think that’s all that matters. My two cents.

I was kind of feeling that way too, that the single pass part only applies to out-of-town maps. Dunno though, I guess I’ll go to bed and see if there are any more comments when I wake up!

Instead of clearing up to a map just clear the act. That way if you happen to go back to a different mode and you return, it doesn’t matter where the wp was. Because not all wps spawn in the same place.
