Any way to tell which makes more sense for optimum success?

Shorter games are better if you don't get r/d

You just do the most efficient areas and skip the mediocre bosses

So you'd recommend for example this (3-4min) : Pit Countess Andy Meph Pindle Nila ...rather than this (6-7min): Pit Countess Andy Meph Cs Pindle Nila Eldritch Shenk ?

Whichever gives you more kills overall.
