Lolfuckinglol.

At least he finally goes to where he wanted to go. Works out well for both sides.

The Nets and Hornets are finalizing a deal that would send Timofey Mozgov to Charlotte and Dwight Howard to Brooklyn, league sources tell ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski (Twitter link). The Hornets will also acquire a pair of second-round picks and cash considerations in the deal, tweets Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports

He hasn’t been anything special in quite some time. Granted, he’ll have like one 30/20 game a year, albeit every other game is pretty mediocre. He’ seems like a genuinely nice guy though, he just never had that killer instinct that Kobe had

Great pick up for Nets

No clue what Hornets are doing
Just to avoid luxury tax?

Dwight FA after this year...while Hornets will be paying Mozgov again next year?

I'm so confused

Lakers gave up D'Angelo Russell to get rid of Mozgov, and Nets only lost 2 second rounders lol. What a coup, they'll have 60 million cap space next year.

With the Dwight Howard trade, only Allen Crabbe will have a guaranteed contract for the Nets in 2019-20. The Nets could potentially have up to $60M+ in room next summer but will be contingent on the restricted free agency of D'Angelo Russell and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Howard is coming off a solid season for the Hornets in which he averaged 16.6 PPG and 12.5 RPG with 1.6 BPG in 81 contests. As for Mozgov, he fell out of the rotation early in the season, appearing in just 31 games for Brooklyn and averaging 4.2 PPG and 3.2 RPG in 11.6 MPG.

Interestingly enough Mitch is the one who originally brought in Mozgov to the Lakers before he was canned after the Deng contract. Maybe they seriously believe Mozgov could fit better than Howard?
