Recently built my own pc with some help on this forum as well as a family member.
Now it's time to purchase a monitor.

What monitor do you people suggest?
Build is as follows.

Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor
CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler
MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card
NZXT - S340 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case
SeaSonic - 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

I'm aware 144hz monitors on ultra settings depend on the game.

I guess I'm just curious if my build could take advantage of a 144hz+ monitor if I were to play something like CS:GO or GTAV.(Not that I even own those games, or have a desire to)

You would need to tell us what size, what resolution, what games.

144Hz depends on the size and resolution and type of game you want to play.

Size would be between 22-27.
I'd like a high reso monitor within what my computer can handle.
As well as a high refresh rate within what my computer could handle.

I mainly play games which require low specs.(dota2, etc)
But if I go by that. I believe I could get just about any 144hz+ monitor.
So I decided to go by GTAV or CS:GO as I believe those are fairly demanding games.

A GTX 1070 would be ideal, but for simple games, these should work.

Here are the lower resolution monitors...

/e Rule of thumb is: 2560 x 1440 at 144Hz is too much for a GTX 1060.

This is the one you should get. It's IPS, it has Gsync, it's 27" it's 250 x 1440.

Yeah, that's the Gsync. They seem to tack on a huge dollar value for it.
