dmg is for sure lower, but not "too low" by any means.
any char that's built as a trapper hybrid has similar trap dmg, based on hard pointed skills in another tree.
spirit offers higher fhr bps, better mind blast bps, more life, and whitstans gives 75% block instead of a claw setup which needs 2 godly claws to still max out around 50% block.
people have played spirit/whitstans trappers for a decade, on ladder especially.
Just a preference i guess. The mb is nice in 1v1 but in tvt i find dmg >
