the game literally changes every 2-3 months and chars are reworked constantly. the amount of changes they are implementing for no reason other than sake of change is is what has ruined the game

A few reworks were justified due to completely unplayable or unbalancable kits, like aatrox, skarner, evelynn, urgot and nidalee (fuck that 1 shot spear cat) but for most part all other reworks I'd prefer in their older state. Swain, Katarina, Fiora, Warwick, Graves, Sej, Zac, Mao, Talon, Galio, LeBlanc, Poppy etc etc. Just because some champs have a low play % doesnt mean they need a rework.

They can't let the game stagnate.

A part of their revenue is pro play, which would get less viewers, therefore, less money if every game was the same 10 champs over and over. They have to make changes to keep viewers interested.
The number of people they lose because of changes does not equate the viewers they would lose if they left it the same.

Minor balancing buffs/nerfs to champs and item changes would be more than enough to have variety in pro games. I mean theres like, what 150 champs right now? I think that's enough without needing create a new champ with stupidly broken kits each month and then reworking an old favourite every other month.

Change is what drove everyone away from CoD, Runescape, Maplestory, WoW, Diablo 3 and all them other dead mmo's.

If you think releasing and reworking champs is Riots key revenue, then yes I think it is time to bring this discussion to an end. Regardless, this thread isnt just about champ releases. Change doesn't necessarily mean more money. Look at the old runes/masteries that people were refunded for. Another bad change and it made them $0. In fact it probably cost them money because now people don't bother buying exp/ip boosts to level and buy runes. It's much easier to farm up champs by playing games than it ever was.
