So while I play path of exile, I enjoy watching a stream. I play PoE in windowed full screen and lately, my fps will be literally cut in half. I have my fps in game capped at 144, because I have a 144 hz monitor. With no stream, I see it sitting at 144, but when I open a stream it caps at 72 and feels super laggy and will dip lower to like 50ish

If i put the game in full screen, it runs perfectly fine though, even with the stream open.

I don't remember changing a setting or anything like that, any ideas on what the problem could be?

And just to be clear, this was very recently, it used to run perfectly fine in windowed full screen.

Here are my specs, my first response was to update my GPU drivers, so it was like yesterday or the day before that I did. And yes, PoE did do multiple updates recently.

Do you have any sort of VSYNC on?

Only thing i can think of off the top of my head that could cause half fps like that

Well I turned off vysnc and it did increase my fps by alot, and it is a bit better in windowed full screen with stream open, but there is still this just noticeable lag.

Make sure your hardware acceleration isn't on.

Windows 10 has a lot of odd bugs when using multiple monitors with varying refresh rates and multiple full screen apps. I've had the same issue you're talking about, and turning off hardware acceleration in the browser as well as making the video/stream windowed helped. Nothing solved the issue completely. The only known method to alleviate the issues completely is to use two monitors with matching refresh rates.
