Anyone have a site they use to buy good quality products?

I’m hiking mount katahdin in another month and would like to get a new bag and have no idea where to look!

Osprey or Gregory.

I personally use an osprey 70L for most back country stuff.

You should go to any outdoors store that carries what you want and get to fitted.

You start putting weight in a 70 L bag that dosent fit correctly you will regret it. Where the bottom of the big sits is crucial. Plus you're spending 300 - 500 bucks, ensure it's a good fit.

Haha just realized you're just doing a basic day trail (17Mi). Any day pack will do fine. Iv used an old school pack with a camel pack for just day trails. I do have a 35L Gregory pack that is nice but still to big for a day pack unless you're the mule.

Find a product that's good, and you can also search Craigslist as well.
I think Kelty is a pretty popular cheap brand, you'd have to look more into it. I see tons of them on Craigslist.
But for a one day hike, yeah I agree you probably don't need to tote some mega rig with massive lbs of gear.

I always wanted to get more into the actual backpacking/camping out of your pack ordeal. Some real bear gryllz shit.
I think it'd be fun. Splitting your own wood, using burners to cook your food, using pinecones to wipe your ass, etc .

Eberlestock, Kifaru, Mountain Ranch sell expensive packs if you ever decide to go the backpack hunting route, I think that's be awesome.
Those packs are way expensive though. $6-700+ I think

I bought an Osprey about two years ago and use it practically every day for school and I love it. Last summer I truly tested it by taking it to hike down into the grand canyon and mountain bike in the rocky mountains and I can say that I absolutely love my bag.

I bought the Nebula from them. It's a little pricey, but I see myself having this bag for another 5 years or so and am completely fine with the price I paid considering how well it has stood up the last two years.
