well in my ma's 09 rogue we had them drop and drain the fluid
turns out the trans was 3 quarts over full and found this out 9 months later
ma only drives to work 14 miles one way
tried going out of town and hit some hills
loss of power
unable to drive 5mph
drain 3 qt and drives fine for one day
next day driving she slows down for traffic and tries to speed up has zero guts

my worry is that the trans finally had enough and burnt out
but why didnt it show any symptoms of being over full until 18373 miles later *exact* after fluid drop and drain

wanting to point fingers at dealer
147913 miles when it was done

Nissan CVT's are trash.

You can't rebuild them. So you can only buy brand new. Cut your losses and get something else.

That sucks like others said either just get a new car or check to see if it had a recall. My family has had Nissans for like 10 years now, an 08 Altima to 200k (traded it in to a dealer, then 90 days later got a call from the Police. Car caught fire and was ditched on the road. Dealer sold at auction never changed any title work, car was still in his name.....)

My mom has like a 11 Rogue, 88k miles no issues yet, dad has a 12 Altima 99k miles no issues, and wife has a 15 Rogue Select at 24k miles.

The Transmission they used to pump on those always scared me, but I think they changed it a few years back. but i know it was always a worry on my dads first one and my moms rogue.

Ill just have to borrow a scan tool capable of linking the new trans with the ecm

The guy that did it was fairly manlet but im sure ezpk

So remember guys

Changing your fluid is on you. Make sure brand is 100% and that its at perfect level.
