Yo so it's been awhile since I've been in HnF but I could use the crews advice. So I'm 25 now and I'm in a very specific point where bills, exes, and friends have collided into a fucked up mess I can't seem to recognize anymore and long story short I'm looking for how ya'll zen out at the end of the day.

Not looking for drugs / supplements but more so what ya'll have done when going through particularly stressful times in your life to "chill." Do you dedicate yourself to killing yourself in workouts so you can't think? Stretches to calm the body and mind? Honestly just looking for any advice that worked for you, more ideas are more avenues to pursue.

Haven't asked anything of ya in awhile HnF, but thanks mates. <3 (P.S. I didn't look before hand hopefully there are still some legit people in here lol)

Daily exercise obv always good. But aside from chillin w/ mates and doing something productive to keep my mind busy, I'd say watching tv shows / movies are gg for some peace of mind imo.

Plenty of good shit out nowadays to watch too.

Unless you can address the problem directly?

I prefer the term performance enchancers, or nose beers

- Try to eliminate stressors. If you have something thats not fundamental but brings stress to you, try to remove it. You don't have to eliminate the source permanent as you can try to alter what to remove.
- Try mindfulness.
- Be outside more.
- Keep in contact with and talk to family and friends (if it's possible) as it will provide both social and emotional support which will improve your coping resources.

Training is a good way to deal with stress but try to ease up on your training goals during the stressful period. Trying to go all out or improve your lifts will often provide another stressor instead of helping you cope.

find a cause that you can put volunteer time into. intrinsic reward is the key to happiness and finding direction in life. i bust my ass (in a paid, lol, position) at an emerg vet hospital taking care of sick and injured animals and nothing makes me happier. it feels real good to do something that makes a difference to a life

Keep your routines up, don't cut contact with friends, exercise and allocate a certain amount time to do shit you really just enjoy doing. If you have a lot of unfinished business, make a list and knock the things out one by one.

That's my 2cents, good advice from others here as well!
