So as some of you may or may not be aware of, Bethesda revealed their newest addition to the fallout series this morning in the form of fallout 76 via a short reveal trailer.
The trailer really doesnt tell us much, and rather hints at a few things instead. The one thing that we can almost certainly say for certain is that atleast part of the game will take place in vault 76.
It is also assumed that this game takes place only 20 years after the bombs drop and the social media posts by fallout amd bethesda indicate this game may have a heavy focus on rebuilding...
Personally, im not overally excited about that idea. For me, the settlements of fallout 4 were cool at first, but it kind of made the game feel empty, like there wasn't as much to explore becauase i was responsible for building the majority of the towns, which in turn resulted in very basic and uninspired npc interaction. It just didnt feel as complete as its predecessors.
Now im not saying that base building shouldn't be in the game, but i personally would rather bethesda make their own in game communitys, all with specific npcs and a bit of a personal charm, and try to replace generic radiant quests with Taylor made quests with custom dialogues.
So that ends my rant, anyone else have any thoughts/concerns regarding this new announcement?
