ive had 2 friends buy previous rentals

one bought a mazda 3 like 8-9 years ago and never had any issues, and recently sold it to buy a newer mazda cross over deal

another friend bought a tahoe from them about 6 or so years ago, zero issues still driving it.

not all rentals are bad, but there are for sure some that all. 95% of people just drive them to and from where ever, and then theres the 5% that beat on them.

Pretty much this. I'd personally never buy one but then again, I get my monies worth out of each rental I take.
