I assume trap is the way to go. mainly looking for gearing suggestions (e.g. bartucs vs. hoto, etc)

What is best in slot, or a good alternative for those items that would be insanely priced (if there even are any)

For hc pvm I’d go something like

Shako socketed with a Shael
Maras
Hoto
Enigma
Storm shield socketed with eld or um
Mages
Arach
2xsoj
Shadow dancers
Torch/anni
Trap gcs
Life and res scs

Str for gear, dex for max block, rest vita ofc

You’d hit 65% fcr 48% fhr max block max res 50% dr with bos

And ofc for merc infinity, ebug trechary, ral’d Andy’s or a vamp gaze


Now if ur looking to duel ppl dual claw is the way to go. Weapon block op

thanks for the info. what makes you recommend shako over griff eye with 5/5 light facet?

+light % dmg doesn’t work for traps

Forgot to mention you’d need to figure out which lvl burst of speed needs to be to hit ur trap lying breakpoint. After that the skill breakdown is just normal trapper.

Honestly if you haven't pvp'd much with a trapsin, stick to the pvm build. If you want to get good at trapsin pvm, make a sc pvp char first

To add to this, if you're already going max block you could look into making a silence phase blade instead of hoto. It's a very underrated item for sins
Attack speed = trap laying speed and +2 skills, 75@, 30mf, etc
I'd look into what trap laying speed it puts you at to figure out if worth

why shako over a coa w/ berber?

Ber isnt that good in pvm and you already have fade if you want to use it while teleing otherwise i dont know why you would get hit

With the build I posted you’d have 50% damage reduction (actually 53%) which is the max anything past 50% does nothing.

Imo for pvm survivial hoto/ss is more viable than dual claws. Much easier to get, easier to hit fcr bp, and since you’ll already hit max res and max dr you don’t need fade and can get ur trap laying speed via burst of speed.

if i could choose between 2x +6 ls claws and hoto/ss combo, whats better for chaos/baal mf runs etc.
